Survivor Exploration

Survivor Exploration is Drentsoft Games’ entry to Kenney Jam 2023. The theme for this jam was Exploration.

The aim of Kenney Jam is to create a game using only Kenney created assets. The game we decided to make sees the player

The constraint of having to use just Kenney assets was an interesting one as it allows a certain amount of stylistic cohesion but also requires a lot more creativity to represent objects and content that you want to.

This was our first attempt at creating a jam game in Godot 4 and it was a mixed experience. The improvements to GDScript were amazing but certain issues around the rendering engine caused issues releasing the game for web.
