Larry’s Discus Throw – TriJam #199

The theme for TriJam 199 was Energy. I had the idea to make a fairly simple shooting range style game where you play as Larry, a Discus obsessed doomsday prepper who spends his days on the shooting range practising the discus throw against zombie targets. The goal of the game was to shoot the discus as hard as possible by spinning faster and faster, racking up bigger scores for faster hits.

The jam version of the game was a little difficult because the arrow indicating your aim was too small. Regardless, I think it’s a pretty fun idea and with a little more polish it could be a really fun time waster.
