Wage epic warfare with simple dominoes!

Players wage war by placing their troops on one of 7 types of battlefield. It is a fine balancing act, deploy too many troops to any one location and you risk destabilising your supply line, pushing the odds in your opponent’s favour. Some lands are more fragile than others and players risk destabilising the entire pass in a vein attempt to achieve supremacy!

Control the Battlegrounds

Can you utlitise the skills of a warlord tactician to overcome the odds and beat your opponent back to their castle?

Recruit your troops -> Deploy your men -> Wage war -> WIN!

Gameplay

Players take turns drawing dominoes from the bag and placing them on their side of the contest line. Can they beat the odds and emerge victorious? Initiating a skirmish costs Supplies, can you invade before your stores run empty?

Winning

The player who pushes their opponent back to their castle or forces them to bust, wins! If the game ends because a player runs out of Supplies, the player who has gained the most ground wins!

If no further tie can be broken, no one wins. There are no winners in war after all…

Simple Setup

A grid of land cards, laid out as the game would be setup. 5 rows by 3 columns, with a castle tile at each end.

Varied lands upon which to wage war

A grid of 8 different land types. Verdant Lands. Players try to get the highest value without exceeding the bust limit.

Simple Actions, Deep Consequences

Players can perform one of several actions on their turn.

Deploy

Place your two dominoes on any tile in your territory.

Manoeuvres

Move a domino to another tile with the option to return a domino back from the destination.

Orders

Rotate a domino so the opposite value faces the contest line.

Advance

Move up to 4 dominoes one tile closer to the contest line.

Skirmish

Spend one Supply to engage your enemy, but watch out, if you’re too aggressive you could summon your own demise!

Domino Battlegrounds is very portable and endlessly replayable with its ever-shifting board layout.

That Cool Stock Component

The dominoes are a very cool component. They give players troops with which to fight over the lands. They allow them to hide their intentions and change their minds before the final showdown. All while providing a lovely sensory feel.
